The Hannibal Board of Education has appointed Mrs. Stephanie Utterback as the next principal of Hannibal Middle School. Mrs. Utterback will begin this role in July after the current principal, Mr. Matt Nimmo retires. Mrs. Utterback currently serves as an assistant principal at Hannibal Middle School.
Mrs. Utterback began her career with Hannibal Public Schools in 2003, and has a combined 20 years of experience at Hannibal Middle School. In 2003, she started as a 6th grade social studies teacher, served as an administrative intern from 2014-2015, and began her current position as assistant principal in 2016.
She received her Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri- Columbia.
She is married to Jason Utterback, an insurance agent for American Family Insurance. They have four children; two are graduates of Hannibal High School, and two are currently enrolled at Hannibal High School.
